Lacey Long Vejar

Lacey is an International Student Visa Specialist at the Office of International Affairs. Before joining UC Merced in 2019, she worked in international education in the English language school sector for over 11 years, and at a non-profit. Lacey has a bachelor’s in Italian Special Fields and English from UCLA. During her studies, she studied abroad for a year in Bologna, Italy and she also worked abroad in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam as an Academic Director for English language schools. Lacey enjoys learning about international students and the cultures they come from, while aiding in immersion and the navigation of American culture.
