Our two functional units, Study Abroad (SA) and International Students & Scholars (ISSS), provide service to domestic students wishing to travel abroad and to international students wishing to study, research or teach at UC Merced.

About: International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS)
The International Student and Scholar Services unit supports the academic, research and teaching experiences of international students and scholars by providing the highest levels of knowledge and expertise in advising, immigration services, advocacy and programming.
Services Offered:
- Advising for non-immigrant students, scholars, staff, and faculty
- Visa document production for non-immigrant students and scholars
- Programs and workshops for students and scholars
- Training and support for campus administrators and faculty
- Support and information to help the international population adjust to life in the United States
- Referral to other offices and services within UC Merced and the Merced community
