Bio:
Craig R Harmelin is the Assistant Director for Study Abroad within the UC Merced Office of International Affairs, in which he has worked since 2008, as well as a Fulbright Scholar. His responsibilities include overseeing Study Abroad advising, outreach, recruitment, and retention and directly serves students intent on studying in Africa, Italy, the Middle East, South America, and the Semester at Sea program. He serves as the chair and campus administrative director for the UC Council of Administrative Directors for the UC Education Abroad Program and previously was the Regional Advisor and Reciprocal Exchanges Coordinator for the UC Education Abroad Program at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). Craig received both his master's degree in Latin American and Iberian Studies and his bachelor's degree with a double major in Linguistics and Italian Studies at UCSB.
His other interests include culinary arts, genetic and genealogical research, personal finance, applied linguistics, and cycling.
