Rico Johnson

Rico is an International Scholar Visa Specialist at UC Merced’s Office of International Affairs and is primarily responsible for administering the J-1 Exchange Visitor program for the campus. This involves advising international researchers, postdocs and instructors in the exchange visitor program about the visa process, and the host faculty and department staff that invite them. Prior to coming to UC Merced, Rico worked at the International Office at UC Berkeley (Cal) with the J-1 Exchange Visitor program there.  Altogether, Rico has more than 7 years of experience working in International Education. He graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a B.A. in Global Studies.
