Exploring Your Identity Abroad:
Path to Study Abroad or Away for Undocumented Students
Getting ready to study abroad or away can be a journey unto itself and for undocumented students that journey often collides with systems that create additional work or barriers. This workshop embraces the idea that education must center the life experiences of the learner, and that the goal of learning is to overcome obstacles and empower individuals.
Come join a supportive community workshop, in partnerships with the UC Davis AB540 & Undocumented Student Center and UC Immigrant Legal Services Center, to reflect on your unique strengths and interests, and identify potential constraints and your support network, as you get ready for your study abroad or away program. Hear from your peers who successfully navigated the Advance Parole System and studied abroad and learn what resources are available to you as you get started!
Hosted by the UC Davis Global Learning Hub as part of a UC-wide collaboration
